How to Add DNS Records for Email Integration in Endorsa
Endorsa enables you to automate review requests via SMS and email. While SMS is pre-configured and ready to use upon setting up a campaign, integrating your company email allows you to send branded emails directly from your business domain, enhancing trust and brand consistency.
Steps to Connect Your Email Domain
1. Access Email Settings:
Navigate to the Email tab located at the bottom left of your dashboard or directly visit https://endorsa.ca/admin/mail.
2. Add Your Domain:
Enter the domain you wish to send emails from (e.g.,
yourcompany.com
).Specify the "From Email" address that customers will see (e.g.,
[email protected]
).Click "Add Domain" to proceed.
3. Verify Your Domain via DNS Settings:
To authenticate your domain for email sending, you'll need to add specific DNS records. This process verifies that you own the domain and prevents your emails from being marked as spam.
Locate Your DNS Settings: Access your domain registrar's dashboard where your DNS records are managed.
Add the Provided CNAME Records: Endorsa will display three CNAME records that need to be added to your DNS settings. For each record:
Host: Provided by Endorsa (e.g.,
endorsa.yourcompany.com
)Type: CNAME
Value: Provided by Endorsa (e.g.,
u34126809.wl060.sendgrid.net
)TTL: Set to default or as recommended by your DNS provider
Save and Verify: After adding the records, return to the Endorsa dashboard and click "Verify." If they were entered correctly, verification should work almost instantly; however, DNS changes may take up to 24 hours to fully propagate.
Note: If you're unfamiliar with DNS settings, consider consulting your web developer or IT professional.
