Learn how to create and personalize review request templates in Endorsa. Use merge tags, preview messages, and automate review outreach with branded content.
Setting Up Review Request Templates
Endorsa allows you to create pre-configured message templates for use in automations and campaigns. These templates determine the SMS content sent to your customers when asking for reviews.
How to Create or Edit a Template
On the bottom-left navigation panel, click “Templates”
You can either:
Click “New Template” to create a fresh one, or select an existing template to edit.
Creating a New Template
Name Your Template: Give it a clear, descriptive name.
Edit the Message Content: Click into the message editor where it says “Edit Template”. As you type, you’ll see a live preview of how your message will appear as an SMS.
Personalize with Merge Tags
Above the message box, you’ll see a list of merge tags, these dynamically pull customer-specific data into your message. For example:
{first_name}
automatically inserts the customer’s first name.{review_url}
inserts the review link for the connected Google Business Profile.
By using merge tags, you can personalize messages at scale. Each customer will receive a message that feels tailored just for them.
Important: Always include the
{review_url}
merge tag in your message. This ensures your customer has a direct link to leave a review. Without it, they won't be able to complete the request.
Final Steps
When you're happy with the message, click “Send Test” to preview it on your account’s phone number.
If it looks good, click “Create” to save the template.
You can now use this template in any of your Endorsa campaigns or automations.
